Gastronomic Georgetown

Our latest Food Tour takes you from the chic, modern West End to the historic charm of Georgetown, and across the river to view DC from the Rosslyn skyline. You will be transported on this 3.5 hour Food Tour across 250+ years of history, cross from the district of Columbia to the commonwealth of Virginia, and enjoy flavors closely connected to the Northwest DC neighborhood.

Long before it became popular by the Kennedys and the home of high end retail and fashion, Georgetown was a working class port city pre-dating the Federal City of Washington DC. Its roots are still very much alive and can be seen in the red brick townhomes, and turn of the century factories that are found throughout the area.

The Food Tour will bring together progressive, high end cuisine, with long standing DC institutions. From restaurants and shops running before prohibition, to swanky hotspots, this Food Tour brings together some of the best this area has to offer.

Before entering Georgetown, your Food Tour will start at the original northwest border of Washington DC, the West End. This fast-paced, trendy neighborhood is adjacent to Georgetown and boasts a variety of fine dining, interesting history and varied architecture spanning three centuries.

After enjoying the food, history and culture of Georgetown, we will see spectacular views of the city when crossing the Key Bridge into Rosslyn, taking in views of the capitol, Jefferson, and Lincoln monuments. We will finish our tour high above the ground, enjoying a final drink together, and taking in the ambiance of our nations Capitol.

The first Gastronomic Georgetown Food Tours start Saturday, March 6th, 2010. Tickets are $60 a person. Contact us to reserve your ticket now.
